Jamie Wright - “Passion Inspires the Music”

Jamie Wright is a singer/guitarist from the Pittsburgh area. He has been the lead vocalist and guitarist for several local bands. He has been featured on several CD’s, a live concert DVD which was recorded for national PBS broadcast and also can be heard regularly on several Pittsburgh radio stations. He is currently performing as a solo artist at many area restaurants and clubs as well as concerts, festivals, private and corporate parties. Jamie recently returned from Florida where he spent several months performing at Universal Studios’ Portofino Bay Resort and other venues in the Orlando area.

Jamie’s specialty is the variety and diversity of his repertoire. It would not be unusual on any given night to hear him perform Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partiro” or Phantom of the Opera’s “All I Ask of You” and then follow it up with the Who’s “Pinball Wizard” or U2’s “With or Without You.” He has a deep appreciation for many styles of music and a variety of different artists which comes through quite genuinely in his passionate renderings.

He covers songs from the 1920’s to the present and also has an extensive Italian repertoire which dates back even further. His audiences range in age from their teens to their 80’s and it’s paramount to him that he pleases them all. Requests are always welcomed and strongly encouraged.

He has a unique rapport with his audiences and gaining their respect and being respectful of them are both of the utmost importance to him.

A personal note from Jamie:
“I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I am most passionate about for my living and to know at the same time that I am able to touch peoples’ hearts through music. On stage, singing and playing music, is the most comfortable place I could be. If I may borrow a line from the great baseball player, Derek Jeter: “I live for this”.
